The George A. Romero Foundation is dedicated to working with independent filmmakers who seek to continue the George's legacy of making quality, socially-conscious horror. The GARF seeks to preserve George's work while fostering future generations of artists in the horror genre. It is particularly interested in furthering works from underrepresented creators.

I KNOW WHAT YOU NEED

The GARF is extremely pleased to be able to be support Julia Marchese's project. Not only is Julia a female horror creator, but she is working on a piece from one of George's most prominent collaborators, Stephen King. Julia has done a wonderful job at raising enough funding to get the project started with her previous indiegogo campaign, but she needs a bit more to make sure that it can begin filming with the production value that it deserves, and we are stepping in to help her make it happen.
